Songs for Ghosts to Haunt to

As part of a month long artist residency at Elsewhere Living Museum in Greensboro NC, I restored instruments and old projects to pair with instruments of my own. The intent is to stage a duet, open up, if only for a short while a collaborative platform that considers past artists, myself, and guests in Elsewhere, a functioning albeit always changing museum.
This video features Receiver, conceived by Kieran Morris. goelsewhere.org/receiver/It’s partner instrument is a mobile device used to detect electromagnetic frequencies. These EMF signals are then transmitted via FM into the audio loops. Both instruments demand a brand of deep listening and both instruments consider EMF signals said to be present in paranormal activity.
